NYC Watchdog offers a free lookup of public New York City records about buildings, and a live-monitoring service (free for one property, paid plans for more) that emails customers when new records appear for their properties. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Accuracy of City data

Records come from public sources such as NYC Open Data, DOB, HPD, OATH/ECB, DSNY, NYC311, ACRIS and NYC Planning. These sources can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and address matching can make mistakes. We show the information as-is and don't guarantee that it is complete, current or accurate. Owner matches are possible connections based on public filings, not proof of ownership. AI-written summaries, where shown, are generated from the records on the page and can contain errors.

Use the lookup for your own research. Please don't scrape it, run automated bulk queries, or try to disrupt the service.

Live monitoring (paid)

Monitoring plans (including the free Pup plan), prices and the 14-day free trial on paid plans are described on the pricing section of the home page. Alert timing depends on when each City agency publishes its records; we can't alert on a record before it is public. Billing, cancellation and refund terms will be provided in writing before any charge.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, NYC Watchdog is not liable for losses that result from relying on the information on this site, from missed or late alerts, or from service interruptions.
